The Matthew Effect

People who attend practices have an advantage over other players. The data I have is that people who actually practice and don’t slack off usually have a better advantage than the player that slacks off and blows off all of the practices. In “The Matthew Effect” they say that people who are born around the same time as the cutoff for the sport my response is not related to the one that is used in the book.  Gladwell’s response to the daily question would be that it depends on when your birthday is that gives you the advantage. Those examples would be what is going on around the time you were born that might give you the advantage. No I don’t agree with him because it really depends on what you are interested in and how far you take this does not make me rethink my daily question. Some source he used are charts of the player’s information. Yes they were convincing because a lot of the players birthdays were around the same time as the cutoff for that sport.
