What is a community? A community is a group or gathering of people in an area.  I belong to the school community also known as CT.  I would say the people here are in the middle class they don’t have a lot of money, but they aren't poor.  An outlier is a place that is secluded from everything else.  Reading this hasn't changed a single thought about communities.  My thoughts on a thriving community are that as long as people are working from the common good of the people it should make it thrive.
